Custodian

Full time position with benefits

Hourly rate commensurate with experience

The Hermon School Department is seeking a full-time evening custodian to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for all cleaning and janitorial duties, including light maintenance.  Graduation from an accredited high school, vocational school or equivalent is required.  Previous experience is desirable but not necessary.  Applicants must hold/or obtain a Maine’s Criminal History Record Check (CHRC).

Bus Driver

Hermon School Department is seeking a part-time Bus Driver, twenty hours per week with the potential to grow into more.

Qualifications: 

  • Clean driving record
  • State of Maine Department of Education CHRC approval
  • Class B Drivers License with school bus endorsement  

The HSD will support the selected applicant with securing the bus driver’s license if needed.

Substitute Teacher Openings
Hermon School Department is seeking substitute teachers for the 2018-2019 school year who have the ability to work positively with staff, and students. Candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, and be dedicated to meeting the academic and social needs of each child.

Candidates must hold current CHRC authorization through State of Maine Department of Education.

This is a substitute position. This position does not provide benefits.
